The label features a drawing of poppies, known as \"Basadone\" in the local dialect. The term also translates to \"a little kiss,\" referencing regional lore that considers Pelaverga an aphrodisiac. The 2024 vintage provided a favorable growing season that allowed for optimal ripening, resulting in a vibrant, light-to-medium-bodied red. It balances bright acidity and a smooth texture with vivid floral energy, wild strawberry, raspberry, and the variety's signature white pepper spice.
