Daniel Bouland may not be a name you recognize immediately but don't let that deter you from grabbing a bottle. In fact, increasingly, Bouland is the name you hear when wine nerds and sommeliers alike talk about their favorite Beaujolais producer. These are old school iterations that hearken back to a time when a winemaker would spend just as much time (or even more) in the vineyards as in the cellar. Bouland's methods are honest and humble with no bells or whistles, which is to say they are fiercely true to their terroir. 'Bellevue' is a lieu-dit of Morgon, and this bottling offers a more structured iteration of the region, meaning it is a great candidate for the cellar. For food pairing, think heartier vegetables from the grill and/or even dry-aged steak.
