Sancerre’s meteoric rise in popularity has led to higher prices and limited availability for the most coveted wines. However, this increased demand has also driven significant investment in quality, resulting in exceptional wines. Finding top-tier Sancerre at reasonable prices can be challenging, which is why we were so fond of Domaine Paul Prieur.

Established in 1889, Domaine Paul Prieur is now in the capable hands of Luc Prieur, the 11th generation to craft Sancerre wines. Since taking over in 2012, Luc has made significant investments and has implemented meaningful quality improvements, focusing on organic viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking.  His progressive farming technique married with a pragmatic, rather traditional, old school, low-intervention style in the winery produces laudable results. We believe his wines offer exceptional value in a Sancerre market where prices are often inflated.

We're thrilled to announce that Luc Prieur will be joining us at our new shop on Wednesday, March 26th, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. This will be a casual, drop-in tasting at our front tasting bar. You’ll have the opportunity to taste an exciting lineup, including some of his top Sancerre Blanc and Rouge
