The 2023 "Chão de Lava" from Insula Vinus is a striking white wine made from the indigenous Arinto dos Açores grape, grown in the extreme maritime terroir of the Azores archipelago. Sourced from vineyards planted directly on volcanic bedrock on Pico Island, the vines are protected from harsh Atlantic winds by traditional stone walls known as 'currais'. The Insula Vinus project is dedicated to capturing the essence of this singular place, employing minimal intervention to preserve the grape's unique character and the terroir's profound mineral signature. This bottling offers a compelling and authentic taste of one of the world's most challenging and distinctive viticultural areas, defined by its saline minerality and volcanic soul.

Envínate is a collaborative project founded by four friends who met while studying enology, now dedicated to reviving ancient, high-altitude vineyards across the Canary Islands. This red is made from a field blend of Listán Prieto, with small amounts of Listán Blanco and Tintilla, sourced from 70- to 120-year-old bush vines planted in the volcanic ash of Santiago del Teide at elevations reaching 1,200 meters. In the glass, it shows notes of red cherry, pomegranate, and dried herbs, framed by a distinct, rocky minerality and a persistent, savory texture. This is a balanced, alpine-style red that is ready to enjoy tonight, especially with a light chill.
