2022 Domaine Jessiaume, Santenay Rouge, 1er Cru Les Gravieres

Gravieres is one of the best premier cru sites in Santenay, located near the border of Chassagne-Montrachet. The name 'Gravières' (gravel) is a perfect reflection, as the deep gravel and limestone soils here contribute to the wine's structured, earthy notes, complementing the classic, dark cherry Pinot Noir fruit. Domaine Jessiaume is certified organic and produces elegant, satiating Burgundy that performs well above its modest price point for Burgundy. Really nice to drink now and will improve in the cellar for years to come.
