Mathieu and Camille Lapierre maintain a rigorous commitment to organic farming and native yeast fermentation, employing traditional semi-carbonic maceration in neutral foudres to ensure site transparency. This cuvée stems from the granitic and volcanic soils of Juliénas, where the presence of "pierres bleues" provides a more robust, spice-inflected structural foundation than the family's iconic Morgon parcels. The solar 2018 vintage produced a Gamay of considerable mid-palate weight and physiological ripeness, yet the estate’s technical precision preserved the necessary nerve and tension to balance the year's concentration. The result is a wine defined by firm, fine-grained tannins and a dense core that reflects the warmth of the season through a strictly architectural lens.
