Our Facilities

Located just outside of Manhattan, our storage facility has been the ideal choice for off-site, full-service wine storage in the NYC-metro region since 2006. Our climate controlled facility is partially powered by solar panels and designed to keep the temperature at a constant 55 degrees Fahrenheit with a relative humidity between 60-70%.

Full-Time, Trained Wine Stewards

All of our wine stewards are subjected to background checks and receive extensive training in safely handling your wines. They’re also required to complete and pass the Wine & Spirits Education Trust Level I course, with many choosing to continue with Level II and III courses as well. Rest assured your wine is in professional, capable hands.

The Virtual Private Cellar

All of our clients’ property is inventoried into our inventory management system, the Virtual Private Cellar (VPC). Our wine stewards chronicle up to 12 data fields related to each bottle entered into the VPC. We notify clients when noteworthy conditions are observed and receive against packing lists to help you sort out discrepancies with your purveyors. Through their online accounts, our clients can review their inventory, record purchase data, or tasting notes, and schedule deliveries/pickups. Clients can also produce inventory and date range activity reports via excel or pdf, ensuring complete transparency into their account.

Warehouse Collection

We routinely accept client appointments and request only that we are given advanced notice of a day or so to ensure that we can have any wine you wish to take with you available and ready for collection. Learn more about our storage facility hours of operation.

Deliveries and Shipments

Deliveries are made in our temperature-controlled van throughout the tri-state area on a daily basis. We also ship daily via third-party carriers to destinations all over the world. Clients can schedule deliveries and shipments online or over the phone within 24 hours. We also provide temperature controlled cross-country consolidations from purveyors and producers on the west coast to help keep our clients’ wine purchases safe and transportation costs at a minimum. Photography and Condition Verification

Our wine stewards are trained to note the conditions of your bottles and/or capture the hi-resolution images needed in order to trade, sell or insure them. We typically can turn around images or condition verification in 24 hours or less. Additional fees may apply.

Integrated Retail Operation

MWC may be able assist in the sale of all or a portion of your wine collection. Provided we have to stand behind every bottle, our retail shop only considers acquiring wine with impeccable provenance from well-known collectors. Potential sale appraisals are turned around quickly and accurately. Additionally, through our strong relationships with the major wine auction houses, we routinely assist our clients in getting their unwanted bottles to market safely and quickly. We are accustomed to working on time-sensitive outbounds for the auction houses and have the experience to ensure that your lots get through to sale without issue.

Storage and Transit Insurance

Clients have the option to insure their collection through our commercial insurance policy. This provides full replacement value in the event of a covered loss. In addition, we also offer transit insurance for any shipment we originate, ensuring that our clients’ wine is protected throughout the journey.
