OUR SHOP

Our flagship wine and spirits shop in West Chelsea opened to the public in July 2015. Located near the corner of 11th Avenue and 28th Street (just a half a block off the High Line) and situated within over 3,000 square feet in the historic Terminal Stores building, our modern, yet rustic space features an inventory of over 1,500 different wine and spirits selections spanning the old world to new and value-oriented to downright decadent bottles.  We tailored our inventory so that our guests can find the perfect bottle for any occasion, regardless of their budget.   Our store also features a rich and constantly changing selection of back vintage, ready-to-pour wines sourced from our trusted network of suppliers in Europe and serious private collectors (many of whom store their wines in our professional storage facility located in Clifton, NJ).  

We believe that education through tasting experiences is one of our most important missions. To that end, we designed our space to be a comfortable gathering place where clients can access great wine and spirits and learn more about their own palates through exclusive educational events and tastings in a relaxed, yet sophisticated setting.    

As a wine storage provider since 2006, we understand the importance of provenance. For this reason, we constructed a large temperature-controlled cooler in the middle of our floor plan with capacity to hold over 2,000 of our most special bottles. If you can't find a wine on our retail floor, there might be a special gem tucked away in our temperature controlled cooler waiting for you.

And despite our company name, our shop is stocked with a cadre of carefully-selected spirits to ensure our guests have convenient access to some of the most sought after and difficult to find spirits the world has to offer. Our selection is focused on small batch producers that craft unique and satisfying libations.  Whether it's cocktail components, digestifs or savory sippers, MWC has you covered.
