This is a Southern Rhone blend of 60-year-old Grenache and Syrah vines that grow in complex, rich sands, full of mineral deposits from both the Cône de la Font des Papes and even decomposed volcanic soils from the Alps and Piedmont. Quite an international effort. This always shows a balanced, delicate character for a Southern Rhône red of this price, with delicate aromas of violet, and a cool, fruit-forward palate punctuated by olives and herbs.
