The more we open bottles from Guy Breton, the more we're confused as to why his wines are not held in the same lofty regard as producers like Foillard and Lapierre. Perhaps some of this comes down to the wines' especially foursquare label or lack of on-trend wax capsule. Or perhaps it comes down to the unflashy nature of the wine itself? Make no mistake, these wines are as complete as anything coming out of Beaujolais. This cuvee is from 100+ year old vines in a tiny plot called Les Charmes (lieu-dit of Morgon). This wine has serious concentration, depth and ageability.
