From multiple organically farmed parcels of vines near Albacete at 900m on clay and limestone soils. Albahra, the Castilian word for ‘small sea’, is the name given to the vineyard site near Albacete, at the southeastern tip of Castilla-La Mancha. 30-70% whole cluster, depending on vintage, and an average 10 day maceration before pressing. Ferments in old wood and concrete, then rests on lees 8 months. Bottled with minimal sulfur. 70% Garnacha Tintorera (aka Alicante Bouschet) and 30% Moravia Agria.
