The Wines:
Cabecas Do Reguengo, 2022 Alentejo 'Respiro' Clarete (Portugal) Coming from the high-altitude granite slopes of Portalegre, this is not your typical Alentejo red. A "Clarete" is a traditional style that sits beautifully between a dark rosé and a light red. It is field-blended from old vines, offering a crunchy, bright, and floral profile that practically leaps out of the glass. It’s a masterclass in transparency and "breath" (hence the name, Respiro).
Finca Sandoval, 2021 Manchuela 'El Fundamentalista' (Spain) Crafted by the visionary Javi Revert in the limestone soils of Manchuela, this wine is a tribute to the Bobal grape (blended with Syrah and other local varieties). It is fermented with whole clusters to maintain a vibrant, peppery energy. Expect wild Mediterranean herbs, silky tannins, and a mineral finish that punches way above its price point.
