1995 Ducru-Beaucaillou 2eme Cru Classe, Saint-Julien

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is a distinguished Second Growth estate in Saint-Julien, managed by the Borie family since 1941. The "beautiful stones" associated with the vineyard's Günzian soil contribute heat and drainage to create concentrated fruit. These vines are only a few hundred meters from the Gironde estuary, helping regulate temperature(especially in warmer years).

This vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot; a hot, dry summer resulted in a amalgamation of cassis, tobacco, cedar complemented by mellowing tannins. This mature Médoc is officially in its prime drinking window. Enjoy!
