Marie-Noëlle Ledru’s viticulture in Ambonnay was defined by a rigorous, manual philosophy, prioritizing low yields and the avoidance of synthetic treatments to preserve the transparency of her Pinot Noir. This Cuvée Goulte is a mono-varietal Blanc de Noirs sourced from select Grand Cru parcels where the village’s characteristic clay-over-chalk soils impart a notable structural breadth and saline persistence. In the cellar, Ledru’s use of enamel-lined tanks and spontaneous malolactic fermentation provided a necessary counterweight to the 2010 vintage’s high acidities and late-season phenolic development. The resulting wine exhibits a dense, vinous texture and a firm grip, driven by the piercing verticality and cool-climate nerve typical of this harvest.
