2012 Larkmead, Solari Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

Larkmead Vineyards is a historic estate situated in the heart of the Napa Valley, continuously family-owned since 1948 and rooted in a property that has been farmed since the mid-1800s. The Solari Reserve is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from a distinct parcel of the estate characterized by gravel and heavy clay soils. In the glass, this wine exhibits intense notes of crème de cassis, graphite, and dried earth, supported by a rich, powerful structure and seamless texture. The 2012 growing season was warm and consistent, providing the fruit with excellent ripeness and a generous, polished profile. This wine is currently in a great place for enjoyment and offers the balance needed for further development in the cellar.
