2013 Continuum, Napa Valley - Magnum

Continuum Estate, founded by the Mondavi family, manifests their vision for a singular, organically farmed red wine from their Pritchard Hill property in Napa Valley. Situated at 1,300-1,600 feet elevation on iron-rich volcanic soils, this site above the fog line ensures optimal sun exposure, moderate temperatures, and low yields that inherently concentrate the Bordeaux varietals. The 2013 vintage, their first fully estate-grown release, experienced an exceptionally even growing season with consistently moderate temperatures, resulting in physiologically ripe grapes with thick skins and robust, fine-grained tannins. Fermented in a combination of oak foudres and concrete, then aged predominantly in new French oak, this Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend exhibits significant density, bright acidity, and a powerful structural framework built for extended cellar evolution.
