Sourced from the 11-acre Vecina vineyard in Oakville's western foothills, this east-facing site on terraced volcanic soils over bedrock inherently yields a wine of power and mineral-driven depth. The 2015 growing season in Napa Valley saw early bud break and bloom due to warm temperatures, followed by cooler May conditions that led to a notably smaller, high-quality crop. This concentrated vintage, coupled with Vecina's structured terroir, produced a Cabernet Sauvignon characterized by a dense mid-palate and a firm yet integrated tannic architecture, exhibiting substantial presence and a lengthy finish.
