Promontory, a Harlan family endeavor, meticulously translates its unique "territory" in the Mayacamas foothills into wine. The estate's dramatic, high-elevation slopes feature a rare geological convergence of volcanic, sedimentary, and metamorphic soils, which deeply inform the wine's structural framework. For the 2015 vintage, an early, compact growing season with reduced yields resulted in grapes of exceptional concentration and well-defined tannins.
