Château de Bonnezeaux is a historic Loire Valley estate with roots dating back to the early 19th century, revitalized in 2012 by Guyonne Saclier de la Bâtie following three decades of dormancy. This wine is made from Chenin Blanc grown in the La Montagne parcel, which features sandy-clay-silt soils and vines planted in 1992. In the glass, it displays distinct mineral intensity, offering notes of crisp pear, citrus zest, and a saline, chalky structure that gives the wine a long, focused finish. The 2017 vintage was impacted by frost, which resulted in low yields and produced a wine with concentrated fruit and vibrant clarity.
