Founded by Sir Peter Michael in 1982, Peter Michael Winery operates with a focus on estate-grown fruit from high-elevation, hillside vineyards. This wine is made from a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, and 11% Cabernet Franc, sourced from the rocky, volcanic soils of the estate's Oakville vineyard. In the glass, it reveals deep aromas of blackcurrant, violets, and graphite, supported by a structured, full-bodied frame and fine-grained tannins. The 2018 vintage provided a favorable growing season that produced intense, well-defined fruit characteristics throughout the wine. It is built for the cellar and will continue to evolve gracefully for two decades or more.
