Vineyards like Eleven Confessions in the cool Santa Rita Hills, alongside The Third Twin and Cumulus, contribute to a complex terroir of varying micro-climates and clay, loam, and limestone soils. The 2018 growing season, marked by a mild summer and extended hangtime, facilitated exceptional phenolic development, resulting in a Syrah of impressive structural integrity. Composed of 82% Syrah with 14% whole cluster inclusion and aged 23.5 months in 51% new French oak, this wine exhibits firm, velvety tannins and invigorating freshness. The vintage conditions preserved a notable purity of fruit, offering a concentrated yet elegant expression with a rock-solid, age-worthy architecture.
