2019 Domaine de Bellevue (Jerome Bretaudeau), La Justice Blanc VdF

Jérôme Bretaudeau established Domaine de Bellevue in 2001 in Gétigné, eventually expanding his family-inherited vineyards into a biodynamically farmed estate at the heart of the Muscadet region. This wine is made from a blend of Chardonnay planted in the 1980s and Savagnin planted in 2013, rooted in soils composed of pink and white granite with quartz. In the glass, it shows notes of juicy pear and white flowers, balanced by a precise, mineral-driven texture and a saline finish. The 2019 vintage provided a concentrated growing season that delivered both tension and flavor depth, resulting in a wine with significant structural integrity. This is a balanced, expressive white that is ready to enjoy now but possesses the acidity to hold well in the cellar.
