Rhys Vineyards produces the Alesia line from their estate holdings in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a region where they have focused on biodynamic farming since their founding in 2004. These wines are made from younger vine production on their estate sites, which are specifically chosen for their shallow, rocky soils that provide minerality. This bottling offers a focused profile of lemon peel, green apple, and subtle salinity, presented in a medium-bodied, textured package. The 2019 vintage provided a classic growing season that resulted in excellent concentration and a more open, approachable character compared to other years.
