2020 Domaine de Bellevue (Jerome Bretaudeau), La Justice Blanc VdF

Jérôme Bretaudeau established Domaine de Bellevue in 2001 in Gétigné, building his estate from two hectares of family-owned vines into a respected Loire Valley reference point that now practices biodynamic viticulture. This Vin de France is made from a blend of Chardonnay planted in the late 1980s and Savagnin planted in 2013, all set in rocky granite and quartz soils. On the palate, the wine reveals notes of lemon, herbs, and a pastry-like depth, anchored by a distinct mineral tension and a firm, vibrant structure. The 2020 vintage provided the heat needed for optimal phenolic ripeness, while the cool maritime influence of the region preserved the bright acidity essential to the wine’s energy.
