2020 Domaine de Villaine, Rully Premier Cru, Les Cloux

This Rully Blanc comes from a pioneering estate in the Cote Chalonaise founded by Aubert de Villaine. De Villaine was his pet project, and he is of course most well known as the Director of Domaine de la Romanee Conti, but he and now his nephew took the same biodynamic principles and exacting standards from DRC and applied it to Domaine de Villaine. This is 100% Chardonnay from a part of Burgundy that never saw this kind of quality until Aubert had the vision to do it better in the Cote Chalonaise.
