2020 Robert Denogent, Saint-Veran, Les Pommards Vieilles Vignes

This is a great white Burgundy from the Southern Macon portion, which has been undergoing a renaissance in recent vintages. It grows in more-than-fifty-year-old vines running through limestone and clay, and this sees some new oak during its aging, so you'll sense some richness there. A lovely sense of creamy lusciousness and texture, and there's a spiciness to the core of this that brings to mind honeycomb a bit, but of course it finishes nice and dry. Sure to be quite versatile with its flavor authority at the table.
