2021 Brovia, Nebbiolo d'Alba

Founded in 1863, the historic Brovia estate is anchored in the Piedmont village of Castiglione Falletto and operated today by the fourth generation of the family. This bottling comes exclusively from a half-hectare plot in the Valmaggiore vineyard within Vezza d'Alba, featuring sand-infused soils and vines planted in 1975 at an altitude of 340 meters. Fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel rather than oak, it presents a classic nose of roses, licorice, and dried cherries alongside an elegant, medium-bodied texture. The 2021 growing season provided optimal ripeness and structural balance, allowing the fruit and site-specific details to show clearly. This is an approachable, finely balanced expression that offers immediate pleasure and clear regional character.
