2021 Clos Cibonne, Cotes de Provence, Tibouren Cuvee Speciale des Vignettes Rose - Magnum

Clos Cibonne, a Côtes de Provence Cru Classé, champions the rare Tibouren grape from organically farmed, schist-rich vineyards situated 800 meters from the Mediterranean Sea. This unique coastal location, with its constant ventilation from sea breezes, provides an ideal microclimate for Tibouren, meticulously harvested from 60+ year-old vines. Following fermentation in stainless steel, the Cuvée Spéciale des Vignettes undergoes a distinctive 12-month aging under *fleurette* in 120-year-old, 5,000L foudres. The demanding 2021 vintage, characterized by a cool growing season and heterogeneous ripening, delivered grapes with retained acidity and lower sugar, yielding a rosé of precise structure, phenolic tension, and significant aging potential.
