Domaine Eden is a mountaintop estate in the Santa Cruz Mountains, originally established in 1983 by the late Tom Mudd and managed today by the team at Mount Eden Vineyards. This wine is made from a blend of fruit sourced from both the Domaine Eden property and the Mount Eden estate, where high-elevation vines grow in volcanic clay loam. In the glass, it shows bright notes of citrus, hazelnut, and savory herbs, with a round texture and a long, persistent finish. The 2021 growing season was defined by extreme drought, which led to lower yields and contributed to the wine's concentrated flavors and buoyant acidity. This is ready to enjoy tonight but possesses the structure to evolve with another five years of careful storage.
