2021 Eugenio Bocchino, Langhe Nebbiolo, Roccabella

A Nebbiolo made in a pure, elegant, and approachable style by Eugenio Bocchino and his wife, Cinzia Pelazza. They are dedicated to organic and biodynamic farming, aiming for minimal intervention to let the terroir of the Langhe speak for itself. The grapes are sourced from the coveted Roccabella vineyard, located just outside the sacred Barolo zone near the town of La Morra, known for its clay and sandy soil composition and perfumed wines. This is "Barolo without the price tag." It provides the classic hallmarks of Nebbiolo—aromatics, elegance, and structure—but is designed to be approachable in its youth. Expect notes of roses, ripe cherry, cassis, black tea, and sweet spices. It's cool, structured, and invigorating, offering a beautiful balance of savory depth and vibrant red fruit.
