Yet in 2021, they promise an additional six to eight years of graceful evolution for those willing to cellar them. We often think of them like Volnay in Barolo: graceful yet structured, with that silken charm that never feels forced. The 2021 vintage was truly classic, marked by a favorable and balanced growing season. S. Caterina always shows more shadow and depth—a darker, more structured counterpoint to Gianetto.
