Nicoletta Bocca established San Fereolo in 1992 near Dogliani, where she manages the estate using certified biodynamic farming practices. The wine is made from Nebbiolo sourced in equal parts from a parcel in Serralunga d'Alba and an estate hillside plot in Dogliani that features limestone, clay, and Tortonian marl soils. It exhibits notes of dried cherry, tobacco, and herbs, presenting a structured texture with firm, persistent tannins. The 2020 vintage provided the necessary ripeness and clarity to balance the wine’s inherent savory intensity.
