Thomas Batardière established his estate in Rablay-sur-Layon in 2012, quickly gaining recognition for his commitment to biodynamic farming across his small, four-hectare property. This bottling is made from Chenin Blanc vines planted in 2014 within the Les Noëls de Montbenault parcel, a site distinct for its volcanic rhyolite soil. In the glass, the wine displays a defined mineral character, offering notes of green apple, lemon peel, and a saline, stony texture. The 2021 vintage provided the freshness and tension necessary to balance the inherent substance of these volcanic-grown grapes.
