2022 Cantina Terlan, Alto Adige, Vorberg Pinot Bianco Riserva

Founded in 1893, Cantina Terlan is a historic cooperative based in the village of Terlano, where member families have cultivated the steep slopes of Alto Adige for generations. The grapes for this wine are grown in the mineral-rich, volcanic porphyry soils of the Monzoccolo ridge at altitudes between 450 and 650 meters. In the glass, it shows a creamy texture with concentrated notes of ripe pear, golden apple, and a distinct flinty minerality. The 2022 vintage was warm and dry, which provided the concentration and depth typical of this site while preserving the area’s trademark acidity. This bottle is built for the cellar, though it offers impressive balance and precision for those who choose to open it sooner.
