If Bordeaux had the ultimate hipster, it would be Château Le Puy. Not just the ultimate, the original. Le Puy, meaning high place, sits at the second highest point of the gironde at 107m. A historic estate on the same plateau as Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. In a region that was slow to adopt biodynamic viticulture, Le Puy was the trailblazer—a wine of brooding fruit, cherry and cassis liqueur, and wet earth.
