2022 Domaine de Trevallon, Alpilles IGP Rouge - Magnum

Domaine de Trévallon’s IGP Alpilles Rouge is defined by the Dürrbach family’s unwavering commitment to organic viticulture and a singular, non-interventionist winemaking philosophy. The estate utilizes a 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, planted on north-facing limestone slopes to temper the Mediterranean heat and ensure physiological maturity while retaining nerve. Following 100% whole-cluster fermentation with native yeasts, the wine undergoes an extended two-year élevage in large, neutral oak foudres. Despite the extreme heat and drought characterizing the 2022 vintage, the deep-rooted vines and cooling site influence produced a structure of remarkable density and tension, marked by fine-grained tannins and a persistent, architectural finish.
