This site, known for its steep, east-facing limestone-clay slopes, benefits from morning sunlight and soils rich in pebbly marl and Argovian limestone. The 2022 growing season in the Côte de Beaune, characterized by a warm, dry summer with well-timed rainfall, facilitated optimal physiological ripeness while largely preserving a vibrant acidity.
