Romorantin is one of France's great forgotten grapes — and François Cazin is its most devoted champion. The Renaissance is made only when the vintage earns it: a wine of concentration and purpose, drawn from vines over 50 years old rooted in the clay-limestone soils of Cour-Cheverny.
The 2022 is rich and generous without ever losing its edge. There's real weight here — a lush, layered mid-palate with a touch of residual sweetness — but Romorantin's signature acidity keeps everything focused and alive. Think of it as the Loire's answer to a great off-dry Alsatian white: textured, mineral, and built to hold your attention.
This is a wine for the curious. If you've never had Romorantin, this is the bottle that will make you want more.
