Lingua Franca, under the leadership of Larry Stone, Dominique Lafon, and Thomas Savre, employs meticulous organic and regenerative farming practices across its Eola-Amity Hills estate to cultivate Pinot Noir expressive of its place. The Mimi's Mind cuvée, a tribute to viticulturist Mimi Casteel, draws from east-facing blocks rooted in volcanic Nekia and Jory soils, providing a distinct mineral foundation. The 2022 vintage in Eola-Amity Hills, characterized by cooler conditions and a late harvest, contributed to a profile of vibrant acidity and linear energy. Fermented with wild yeast on primarily whole berries and aged in a moderate percentage of new French oak, this Pinot Noir delivers a plush yet structured palate, exhibiting concentrated fruit balanced by refreshing acidity and finely integrated tannins.
