2023 Benedicte & Stephane Tissot, Arbois Rouge, DD

DD is Tissot’s blend of the Jura’s three red grapes—Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir—a cuvée first made in 2010 and meant to show the region in a more immediate, drinkable register. Fruit comes from around Arbois, where limestone and marl give the wine its snap and earthy edge.

The wine is made with a light hand and, in earlier releases, saw about three months of maceration with bottling not long before release. That approach keeps the wine lively and a little untamed—more about blood orange, sour cherry, and spice than weight or extraction.

It's incredibly aromatic and enticing. Overall, it's just a lovely, fresh wine. Elegant, light-framed, and too easy to drink.
