2023 Benjamin Leroux, Meursault, Les Vireuils

Benjamin Leroux farms with exacting attention, championing organic and biodynamic methods both in his own parcels and in those of trusted partner growers. His cellar work remains equally restrained, relying on whole-cluster pressing and indigenous yeasts to preserve clarity of site. Vireuils, a high-altitude, east/southeast-facing domaine owned lieu-dit, that sits on “terres blanches” limestone and flint—soils that naturally yield a more tensile, stony expression of Meursault rather than overt richness.

Leroux’s 2023 Meursault Vireuils is a medium-full, supple palate anchored by lifted minerality and transparent definition. It is both a faithful expression of the site and a testament to Leroux’s disciplined, terroir-first approach.
