The Courrèges family established Domaine de Vaccelli in 1962, setting their roots on the granite hillsides of Cognocoli-Monticchi in Corsica’s Ajaccio appellation. This selection is made from Vermentino grapes grown on vines that average 26 years of age, situated on the estate’s highest parcel where coastal winds influence the fruit. In the glass, the wine displays notes of citrus oil, yellow fruit, and chamomile, supported by a medium-bodied texture and a persistent, stony mineral finish. The 2023 vintage provided a favorable growing season that allowed for a classic expression of the estate’s signature tension and salinity. It is a precise, well-balanced wine that is ready to enjoy now but possesses the structure to evolve in the cellar over the next several years.
