Buisson-Charles is an estate based in the village of Meursault run by Catherine Buisson and her husband Patrick Essa, the current winemaker. The Bourgogne Rouge is drawn from two plots of 50-year-old vines in Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault. It is fermented in steel and aged with 25% new oak for around a year. This is a charming red Burgundy with classic structure and buoyant aromatics.
