This wine is made where the Alps fall into the Mediterranean Sea in Liguria near Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera. Rossese is also known in southern France as Tibouren. In Provence, it is used to make rose and sometimes blended with other Provençal grapes. Dringenberg is an artisanal producer with some of the oldest Rossese vineyards in Italy. These are wild-looking vineyards that are bush-trained and grown in between forested areas. Posau is a single vineyard and in our opinion, produces the most elegant, ethereal iteration at Dringenberg. This mid-weight wine features a distinct Mediterranean profile of herbs and spice with red fruits, good acidity, and fine tannins. Love how unique and easy to drink this wine is. You can happily drink on its own but it's versatile enough to pair with just about anything.
