2023 Eleni & Edouard Vocoret, Chablis, En Boucheran

Eleni and Edouard Vocoret focus on parcel-specific vinification and extended aging in neutral demi-muids to prioritize textural development and structural weight over primary aromatics. The *En Boucheran* lieu-dit is situated in a sheltered valley between the Premier Crus of Montmains and Vaillons, featuring Kimmeridgian marl that dictates the wine’s notable breadth and mid-palate density. In the 2023 vintage, the Vocorets managed the warm growing season to achieve full physiological ripeness while retaining the high-tension acidity and saline nerve essential to the domaine’s house style. The resulting wine possesses an architectural clarity, where the volume of the vintage is grounded by a rigid, mineral-driven finish. This expression of Chablis highlights a sophisticated balance between technical precision in the cellar and the geological reality of its site.
