The Les Macherelles Premier Cru is defined by its East-facing exposure and clay-heavy limestone soils, which provide the foundation for a broad, mineral-driven profile.

In the warm and high-yielding 2023 vintage, the brothers employed long pressings and fruit crushing to extract phenolic bitterness, successfully balancing the year's characteristic suppleness with dry extract. This approach results in a Chardonnay of notable mid-palate weight and structural focus, where a saline finish provides persistent tension. Refined by two full winters in barrel, the wine exhibits the requisite nerve and fine-grained texture for extended cellar development.
