The 2023 Lagar de Pintos Albariño emerges from Spain's Rías Baixas Denominación de Origen, specifically the cool, Atlantic-influenced Val do Salnés sub-region, celebrated for its unique granitic and sandy soils. This fourth-generation family estate, guided by winemaker Marta Castro-Pintos, is a pioneer in organic farming, meticulously tending its seven distinct plots where vines are trained on traditional pergolas. The 2023 vintage experienced a challenging, wet spring that necessitated careful vineyard management, yet was followed by a predominantly dry and warm summer, contributing to a generous overall harvest in Rías Baixas.
