Marie-Thérèse Chappaz operates her historic estate in the Swiss village of Fully, where she has been a leading advocate for biodynamic farming since converting her vineyards in 2003. This wine is made from a blend of Petite Arvine, Marsanne, and Sylvaner, grown on varied Alpine parcels that feature granite and limestone soils. In the glass, it shows notes of lemon zest, honeysuckle, and crushed stone, balanced by a substantial, textured, and saline mouthfeel. The 2023 vintage provided the fruit with successful ripeness, resulting in a wine that is both powerful and vibrantly acidic. It offers excellent balance and is ready to enjoy tonight, though it has the structural integrity to develop further in the cellar.
