The Aloxe-Corton Premier Cru "Clos du Chapitre" is an east-facing, walled vineyard within the village, defined by limestone-rich clay soils that ensure both efficient drainage and consistent water retention. Winemaking employs native yeast fermentation with 100% destemming and judicious extraction, followed by an extended élevage in older barrels to allow precise site expression. The 2023 vintage in the Côte de Beaune, characterized by a warm harvest following a cooler, wetter summer, delivered fruit with optimal physiological ripeness yet preserved an invigorating freshness. This balance yields a Pinot Noir with a refined structural profile: integrated, smooth tannins, a focused mid-palate, and bright acidity, contributing to a wine of clear Burgundian typicity.
