2023 Oltretorrente, Colli Tortonesi, Derthona Timorasso

Founded in 2010 by agronomists Chiara Penati and Michele Conoscente, Oltretorrente operates in the village of Paderna within the Colli Tortonesi appellation, where they utilize organic farming methods to manage their steep hillside vineyards. This wine is made from the Timorasso grape, which is grown on north-facing parcels planted between 1996 and 2016 at an altitude of 300 meters on silty calcareous soils. A grape that was nearly extinct 20 years ago! In the glass, it presents focused notes of orchard pear, Meyer lemon curd, and crushed stone, all framed by a distinctively dense, mouth-coating texture.
